Ohhhh I see I'm skidding in with minutes to spare to launch the April Giveaway here on the old blog. It's been a funny old day..... ! After designing this fun kit and launching is as the Curio Cabinet at my retreat last weekend I thought it would make a great giveaway this month. I have a soft spot for this collection (Olde Curiosity Shoppe), it was the one I worked with on my first design team project for Graphic 45 back in the day. I've actually managed to finish my sample today too just in time to share a few pics with you before the witching hour strikes.
I used 1/2" and 1/4" black card punched circles to mount each of the pieces and added glossy accent and clear wink of stella to various elements to pick them out. It's been a while since I've done some serious fussy cutting and as always I have a pile of things left over that didn't make the final cut lol!!! in my less is more kind of a world. Hope you like .....?

Hellllooooooo my lovely crafty friends, I'm back in the zone this morning and raring to go lol!
As you know I'm a paper guru or 'The Paper Queen' as Dave Bradford (Create and Craft) always called me. Give me a sheet of paper and something to stick it on and I'll bring it to life and create something gorgeous for us all to make. Most of my samples are decorated in papers but my kits can be altered with paint and all the fab mediums that are on the market too. Occasionally I'll dabble in paint and inks but they're not my go to thing. However my lovely friend Lyn Coogan is definitely an painty and inky kind of a gal :-) and loves all things spooky too.
I was totally blown away when she called by the hotel on Friday night with her finished halloween take on my Lantern Kit and wanted to share it with you too. WOW Lyn ..................totally amazeballs !!!!!!!!
there's so many details including a real false eyelash .................
She used a mould to make the skulls, grunge paste and stamps on the stand, rusting powder on the lantern top and cobwebs along with lots of other products to get the over all finish. Can you spot the spider creeping about?Do leave a comment for Lyn below.
Tomorrow we'll be launching our April Giveaway so do call back to leave a comment if you'd like to take part.
Have a great rest of your day, thanks for calling by and ta ta for now :-)

Kathy late night crafting .............cheers everyone ..........
It was a gorgeous day on Sunday, the hottest of the year so far so I swung past the castle just around the corner from the hotel and took a few pics across the meadow before the start of day 2.
Day two always fly past too quickly and before we knew it our fabulous weekend had come to an end.......
My plan this week is to have a chilled day today to unwind and recharge my batteries and then get all of the projects we made over the weekend, and the new kits up and live on the website, so if you fancy making any of them yourself they will appear in the Alter Me Kits and PDF Tutorial sections of the website shortly.
If you'd like to join me at my next retreat in November click here for more info and bookings.
I'm off to do my Mum la Taxi duty now so I'll have to love you and leave you. Thanks you ladies once again for the best weekend and look forward to catching up with you all again shortly.
Well hello again, get me two posts in two days!!! Before I get caught up in all things retreat over the next couple of days I thought I'd share the last post of the week - (well this side of Saturday) with you and the full project line up for this weekends 'UK Graphic 45' Crafters Retreat. We're crafting with all of the new collections and a couple of older ones to. I'm so excited to share the new projects I've designed with you. I'll be creating videos for each project for my You tube channel and all will have project sheets available on the website by mid April.
So here goes:
The 12 x 12 Shadow Box and 11" Presentation Album
Made in Portrait of a Lady, Midnight Masquerade and Vintage Hollywood collections
this project offers a great way to capture an event and create a keepsake of a Prom, a trip or holiday, birthday, anniversary wedding or other event you've enjoyed.. Each album has six pages for pictures and the centre double page layout, and fits neatly into our new 12 x 12 Shadow box.
The Curio Cabinet and mini album This is a new kit being released at the retreat. Standing just over 12" tall on feet it has full length doors, front aperture with shelves and a back section to alter in any way you like. I've added a mini album.
The Event Organiser, File Folder and Planner
This is such a popular kit and we're making it in two of the new collections and St Nicholas too.
The Book in a Box
another great kit all dolled up and ready to be made in the Midnight Masquerade collection
The Albums and last but not least two of my favourite albums altered in papers form the Portrait of a Lady and Nature Sketchbook collections:
We're in for a whole lot of fun, two 1/2 days of crafting and lots of laughs........ roll on Saturday. Our April Giveaway will launch next week if you were wondering if you'd missed it.
